Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on July 24, 2004 at Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona, with interment in the Oakland Cemetery, Waukon, Iowa for Cheryl LeAnn McNally. Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements.

Cheryl LeAnn McNally, 56, of Monona, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, at Gunderson Lutheran Hospital, LaCrosse, WI, following a long illness.

She was born on June 22, 1948, in Postville to Walter and Marjorie (Rolfs) White. Cheryl graduated from Postville High School and united in marriage to Theodore (Ted) McNally on November 12, 1966, at Zion Reformed United Church of Christ, Waukon. Two children were born to this union, Christine and Douglas.

Cheryl was an active member of the United Methodist Church Women and the American Legion Auxiliary. She worked for Interstate Power Company, in Waukon and was a Mary Kay beauty consultant while in Hawaii. She was the chief cook and bottle washer who enjoyed working on the family farm, crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking and taking care of livestock.

Survivors include her husband, Ted; two children, Christine (Jason) Woods, and Douglas (Peggy) McNally; four grandchildren, Josh and Cale Woods and Dani and Samantha McNally, all of Monona; her mother, Marjorie White-Kruger, Postville; three brothers, Gary (Anne) White, Dickinson, ND, Kermit (Cathy) White, Postville, Dan (Nooch) White, Postville and one sister, Judy (Steve) Houdek, Anamosa.

She was preceded in death by her father, her paternal and maternal grandparents; one brother and sister in infancy, Richard and Karen White.
