EDGEWOOD, Iowa - Lucille M. Gremmels, 88, of Madison, Wis., and formerly of Edgewood, died on Tuesday morning, Nov. 20, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home, Oelwein, with the Rev. Mike Jackson officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and for one hour before the service on Saturday at the funeral home.

A public Eastern Star Service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.

A memorial fund has been established for the Grand Chapter of the Iowa Order of the Eastern Star or the American Cancer Society.

Lucille is survived by her two sons, Dr. Fred (Cindy) Gremmels of Watertown, Wis., and Mark (Deb) Gremmels of Dubuque; five grandchildren, Jennifer Gremmels of Chicago, Ill., Julie (Chad) Kreblin of Menomonee Falls, Wis., Jeanette Gremmels of Denver, Colo., Melissa Gremmels of Houston, Texas, and Matthew Gremmels of Dubuque; one great-granddaughter, Mya Kreblin; and a sister, Lillian Walton of Midland, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, LaVerne; and a brother, LaVerne C. Clark.
