NICK OXBERGER RITES FRIDAY
Funeral services for Nicholas Oxberger, conducted by Rev. J. Priestley, were held at the Herman Adney home, Friday, April 22. Mrs. L. O. Glad sang two solos, "Rock of Ages" and "There'll be no Night there".Internment was made at the local cemetery. Nicholas was born at Vinton, Ohio on December 23, 1857 and died at the home of his nephew, Herman Adney, April 20, 1932, at the age of 75 years. When he was a small boy, he moved to Bradford, Illinois. He came to make his home with his nephew about six years ago where he remained until his death which came after an illness of only four days. He had a kind and loving disposition and will be missed by his many relatives and friends."
Doreen's notes: Nicholas was the brother of Sarah Ann Oxberger who married John Taylor Adney. Both Sarah and Nicholas were living with Sarah's son, Herman Adney, on the 1930 US Census. John Taylor Adney died in 1922, Sarah Ann Oxberger died in 1931.
