John Rohde
Services for John Charles Rohde, 61, of Monona, were Monday, June 10, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Monona with Rev. John Moran officiating. Burial with military rites was in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery.
Rhode died Thursday, June 6, at Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital following a long illness. He was born in Tripoli to Bernard and Mildred (Betsinger) Rohde and graduated from Fayette High School in 1957.
On January 2, 1971, he married Roberta Fish. To this union, four children were born. John graduated from NICC in 1997 and worked as a graphic designer for Britz-Heidbrink Inc. in Monona. He loved spending time with his family - they were very important to him.
He is survived by his four children; Michael (Kristy) Rohde, Boone, Christine Rohde and fiancé Jeff Brandt, Mason City, David Rohde and fiancé Hope Edwards, Cedar Rapids, Jennifer (Mark) Stepan, West Union; three sisters, Nancy (Harold) Gade, Waverly, Connie (Roger) Halverson, Marquette, Catherine Langel, Oskaloosa; four brothers, Bernard Rohde, Fayette, Joseph (Rachel) Rohde, Fayette, James (Sandi) Rohde, Farmersburg, Donald (Wendy) Rohde, Marion; and three granddaughters, Hannah, Michaela and Brianna Rohde.
His parents; a sister-in-law, Norma Rohde and a niece, Rebecca Rohde, preceded John in death.
Arrangements were made by Leonard Funeral Home.
