Vivian Reardon

Funeral services for Vivian Reardon were held Saturday, April 21, 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. Rev. Ben Davis officiated. Burial was in Farmersburg-Wagner cemetery, Farmersburg. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona was in charge of arrangements.

Vivian Marie Reardon was born August 28, 1902 in Farmersburg, Iowa, to parents Christopher and Emma Buck Oelke. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Farmersburg. She received her education in the Farmersburg school, graduating from high school there.

On February 19, 1921 she married LeRoy V. Reardon in Winona, MN. The couple had 2 daughters. They farmed in the Farmersburg area and later resided in Farmersburg. Vivian cooked in the Farmersburg school and the Americana Restaurant, Monona. She also worked as a telephone operator in Farmersburg.

She died Wednesday, April 18, 1990 at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, WI. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church and a former Eastern Star member.

Preceding her in death was her husband, LeRoy, who died December 17, 1979; 4 brothers, Harold, Lorrence, George C. and Victor and 4 sisters, Elsie Barton, Theresa Walter, Favorite Welde and Bernice Peterson.

Surviving are 2 daughters, LaVon Wilker, Dubuque and Audrey Willis, Columbus, GA; 4 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers: Fred Nuehring, Glen Radloff, J. J. Mathews, Reuben Mueller, Duane Lubbers, Elmer Shady and Clark Wikner.
