Alice Reinke Funeral Services Held Monday
Funeral services for Alice Reinke, 49, were held Monday afternoon last week at 1:00 o'clock at the Schultz Funeral home in Monona, with Rev. R. C. Schlueter officiating. Burial was in the Monona city cemetery.
Miss Reinke died Friday, June 4, at the Postville hospital. She had been in failing health for more than a year. She submitted to two operations in July, 1953 and to another in March of this year.
As Alice Minnie, she was born the daughter of Herman and Mahala (Hauschen) Reinke at Farmersburg, March 10, 1905. For many years she was employed as a clerk in the Monona Dry Goods store. For the last four years she was employed at the Groth Produce company in Postville.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Peter (Wilma) Jordahl of Manchester, and one brother, Harold of Sioux City.
