ROBERT P. McGUIRE

Robert P. McGuire, 71, of Highland, WI died Thursday morning, July 30, 1987, at St. Joseph's Unit of Mercy Health Center, Dubuque, after a short illness.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 31 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Highland, with burial in the Church Cemetery. Father Joe O'Hara and Father Kent Schmitt officiated. The McGuire-Peterson Funeral Home, Highland was in charge of arrangements.

Robert was born Feb. 21, 1916 at Highland. He married Frances Pustina March 5, 1935. He owned and operated McGuire Plumbing and Heating Corp., Highland, for 50 years until he retired. On January 8, 1983 he married Jean Keehner at Monona, Iowa.

Preceding him in death was his wife Frances, Oct. 10, 1981.

Surviving are his wife, Jean, 5 sons, Thomas, Patrick, Donald and James McGuire, all of Highland, Daniel McGuire, Avoca and step-sons, Jim and Leigh Keehner, both of Farmersburg; 4 daughters, Mrs. Vern (Donna) Faber and Mrs. ____(Lynda) Vickerman, both of Hazel Green, WI, Mrs. Gene (Mary Jean) Pierick of DeForest and Mrs. Gilbert (Margorie) Pierick of Highland; step-daughters, Mrs. Janice Hogan of Des Moines, Mrs. Gene (Joanne) Ferguson of Monona, Mrs. Mark (Jolene) Cullen of Bettendorf, Caroline Keehner of Dubuque and Mrs. Mike (Dawn) Reardon of Farmersburg; 33 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Steve (Monica) Ede of Lake Geneva, WI.
