James E. Tracy Dies at La Habra, Calif.The Press-Journal is in receipt of a paper from La Habra, California telling of the death of James E. Tracy, 65, depot agent in Strawberry Point many years ago and cousin of John and Chester Tracy.
Mr. Tracy, who was born here in 1876, died July 11th following a long illness. He went to California in 1926, having been a banker for seven years following his railroad work. Settling at La Habra, Mr Tracy operated a grocery and market.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clara B. Tracy, a son, James who is with the navy at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, and his aged mother, Mrs Jennie Tracy of Fayette, Iowa.
Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs Jake Fenchel of Strawberry Point, Mrs Clara Moscrip of Kingman, Kansas, and Mrs Mary Durphy of Fayette, Iowa.
