Mrs. WILLIS (Ruth M. Jacobson) Hupfer TIMMERMAN 1916-2000

Ruth Margaret Timmerman

Ruth Margaret Timmerman, daughter of Anton and Mary (Kristofferson) Jacobson, was born December 2, 1916 at St. Olaf, Iowa. She was baptized in January of 1917, and confirmed in May of 1930, both at St. Olaf. She received her education at the country school.

Ruth was united in marriage to Raymond Hupfer March 15, 1938 at Monona, Iowa. Raymond died January 21, 1971. On June 16, 1973 she married Willis Timmerman at Monona. Willis died August 23, 1988. Ruth was a homemaker and also worked in the grocery store which she and Raymond owned and operated. Her hobbies included flowers, enjoying the outdoors, fishing, Lawrence Welk, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruth died Saturday, February 5, 2000 at the Prairie Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Raymond and Willis; two sisters, Gladys and Sally; and one brother, Oscar.

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands: Karen and Dan McAchran of Torrance, CA, and Diane and Ronald Mueller of Monona, Iowa; six grandchildren, Mary (Ray) Vallette of Ft. Mill, SC; Michael (Claudia) McAchran, David McAchran, all of Torrance, California; Tony (Jean) Mueller of Monona, Ia., Andy (Vanessa) Mueller of Knoxville, Ia., and Jody (Al) Neuhaus of Hiawatha, Iowa; six great grandchildren: Drew, Heath, Trey and Ben Mueller, Jamie Petricka, and Sawyer Neuhaus; one brother and his wife, Bob and Shirley Jacobson of Monona, Ia., one sister, Helen Jarms of Monona and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Feb. 8, 2000 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona, Iowa, with Pastor Christopher Staley officiating. Burial was in Monona City Cemetery, Monona Iowa.

Pallbearers were Tony Mueller, Al Neuhaus, Doug Baade, Andy Mueller, Ed Hupfer, and Bob Kiesau.
