Julie M. Geno, 46, Marquette, Iowa, died Wednesday Feb. 14, 2007 at Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center following a sudden illness.

The funeral was at 12 noon Monday, Feb. 19, 2007 at First Lutheran Church with burial in the church cemetery, rural McGregor.

Julie was born June 13, 1960, in Boscobel, W is.. to John and Iretta (Clark) Elliott. She graduated from Marquette High School and attended Southwest Technical College at Fennimore, Wis., for two years. She worked for Cargill in MacGregor for eight years and then for Peavy Grain in Prairie du Chien, \\'is.. for 13 years. Julie and Mark became a family on July 6, 1990. Julie w as charismatic and outgoing, had a wonderful sense of humor and would do anything to help her family and friends. She loved spending time with her daughters and grandsons. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and participated in the annual crane count with her sister and friends. She had been a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Abildtrup; twin daughters: Dacia (Kory) Warrington of Brunswick, Maine; Dana Geno (Paul Gordon) of Marquette, Iowa; grandsons Trevor Jones, and Brayden Gordon; parents Jack and Pat Elliott of Marquette, sister: Teaka (Jon) Ayers of Marquette; brothers: John (Aura) Elliott of Hedgeville, W. Va.; Steven (Donna) Elliott of Portage, Wis.; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and all her special friends.

Julie will be truly missed by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law Judy Abildtrup, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends could call on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor and one hour prior to services at the church.
