Bowman Rites Held Tuesday - Local woman died on Sunday; 75 years of age

Miss. Emma Bowman, a resident of the community for the past three years, died on Sunday, January 1, 1950 following a stroke. She was nearly 75 years old.

Funeral services for Miss Bowman were held Tuesday afternoon from the Tuecke funeral home with Rev. J. F. Eshbaugh in charge. Burial was in the Bethel cemetery near Osterdock.

Miss. Bowman was born February 16, 1865, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Bowman at Osterdock. Three years ago she came to Guttenberg to make her home.

She is survived by a sister Lizzie, of Guttenberg; a brother, Charles, of Osterdock, and a niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
