Geraldine Roberta Luster Holroyd, 83, of Monona died Wednesday, August 15, 2007 at the Good Samaritan Center in Waukon following a brief illness. Funeral Services were held Saturday, August 18 at Living Faith United Methodist Parish in Monona. The Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiated. Burial followed in the Rossville Cemetery.
Music for the service was provided by Ric Benzing, organist. Casketbearers were Shawn Luster, Jason Dahlstrom, Arthur Messler, Duane Dahlstrom, Todd Phelps and Mike Leatherman.
Geraldine was born March 30, 1924 at What Cheer to Harland and Gertrude (Jackson) Tipton. She graduated from Sigourney High School.
Geraldine was united in marriage to Harry Clarence Luster, Sr. March 6, 1946. Three children were born to this union. Harry passed away in 1971. Geraldine later married David Holroyd June 13, 1981. David passed away in 2002.
Geraldine worked for Northern Engraving in Waukon for many years. She loved crocheting, painting, crossword puzzles, flowers, gardening, country music and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Harry (Wendy) Luster, Jr. of Monona and Norma (Lloyd) Smith of Prairie du Chien, WI; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Bernita Morris of Sigourney; and two step-children, Sandy (John) Moeller-Hudson of Blue Grass and Russell (Wendy) Holroyd of Manchester.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her two husbands; one infant son, Donald; one daughter-in-law, Susan Luster; one sister, Devota Kintigh; and two brothers, Keith and Ronald Tipton.
