DOROTHY SINKSEN

Word has been received of the death of a former McGregor resident, Mrs. Thomas (Dorothy) Sinksen, 88, of rural Clinton. She died Thursday, Dec 13.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec 15, at Clinton, with burial in Springdale Cemetery there.

The former Dorothy Douglas was born in McGregor Sept., 3, 1891, to George and Julie (Watts) Douglas. She and Thomas Sinksen were married March 17, 1913 in Clinton.

Surviving are three sons, Levert of Clinton, Carroll of Corinth, N.Y., and Charles of Providence, R.I.; one daughter, Mrs. Donald (Isabel) Varney of Clinton; one brother, Ervie Douglas of McGregor; one sister, Mrs Ethel Beck of Dongola, Ill., mine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
