William Tomkins service set...Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran church here for William Tomkins, 79, who died at mid morning Tuesday (March 8, 1966) following a long illness. The services will be conducted by Rev. James Brown, pastor of St. Paul Church.

Burial will be in the Bethel cemetery near Osterdock in charge of the Tuecke funeral home. Pallbearers will be Russell Schroeder, Burdette Hagen, Bernard Thein, Robert Zittergruen, Jon White, and Bill Aulwes.

Mr. Tomkins was born October 5, 1886, at Osterdock, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Tomkins. On October 17, 1905 he married the late Bertha Moser at Osterdock. Mrs. Tomkins died December 10, 1964.

Surviving Mr. Tomkins are six daughters, Mrs. Arnold Zittergruen, Mrs. Marie Schroeder, Mrs. Edmund Hagen, Mrs. Emmett White, and Mrs. Lester Aulwes of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Loraine Thein of Littleport.

Also Surviving are 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, as well as a brother Frank Tomkins of Colesburg and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Moser of Guttenberg, and Mrs. Fred Steinfadt, and Mrs. Russell Barnhart of Colesburg.
