FUNERAL SERVICES
TUESDAY AFTERNOONFuneral services were held here on Tuesday afternoon for Mrs. Charles Hedemann, 88, who died at the Larson Nursing home in St. Olaf, Saturday morning, Sept. 13, following a long illness.
Mrs. Hedemann, the former Margaret Mohning was born in Clayton township March 8, 1870, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Mohning. She was married to Charles Hedemann Jan. 17, 1887 and the couple lived on their farm north of Garnavillo until 1927 when they retired and moved to Garnavillo. Mrs. Hedemann was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran church.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Albert Bludau and Mrs. Carrie Milewsky, one son, Robert Hedemann of Columbus Junction; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Marvin, three brothers and three sisters.
Services were conducted at St. Paul’s church at the graveside in the Garnavillo cemetery by the Rev. L. C. Urlaub. The Tuecke funeral home was in charge.
