Edward C. Dickens
Funeral services for a former McGregor resident, Edward C. Dickens, 64, of Janesville, Wis., will be held at 2 this afternoon in the Overton Funeral Home, Janesville.
Mr. Dickens died Saturday evening, Sept. 30, 1978 in a Janesville hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack in his home.
There will be no services in McGregor.
Mr. Dickens had resided for 20 years at Janesville, where he was employed by Parker Pen Co.
A World War II veteran of the Army Air Corps, serving in India, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Western Star Masonic Lodge, and St. Johns Lutheran Church in Janesville.
He was born in McGregor Dec 2, 1913. He and Marie Campbell were married Aug. 26, 1944.
Serviving are his wife of Los Angeles; four daughters, Mrs. Dianne Glore of Crescent City, Ca., Mrs Dennis DeSoto of Los Angeles, Mrs. Dawn Mangone of Highland, Ca., and Debora of South LakeTahoe, Ca., and three brothers, Robert Dickens of Beloit Wis., Lawrence Dickens of Sioux City, and Harvey Dickens of McGregor.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Clayton and Blanche Dickens and two sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Schara and Mrs. Dorothy Schultz.
