Clayton Dickens dies

Funeral services were Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Thornburg Funeral Home in McGregor for Clayton H. Dickens, 95 of Marquette. Dickens died Saturday July 20,1974 at Memorial Hospital in Praire du Chien after a long illness.

The Rev. Luella Koether and T. Janet Surdam officiated at the service. Masonic services for the former member of the Bezer Masonic Lodge of McGregor were conducted Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial was at Pleasent Grove Cemetery.

Survivors include sons Harvey, rural McGregor; Lawrence, Sioux City; Edward, Janesville, Wis., and Robert, Beloit, Wis.; daughter Mrs Harlan (Evelyn) Schara, Postville; 24 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Blanche and daughter, Dorothy Schultz. Masonic services were held at the funeral home Monday evening.
