Mrs. H. Trappe Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Hilmer Trappe, 73, were held Monday afternoon, Nov. 8, at 1:30 o'clock at Schultz's Funeral home in Monona with Rev. Raymond Pacholke of the First United Methodist church officiating.
Burial was in the Monona City cemetery.
Mrs. Trappe died at Memorial hospital in Prairie du Chien, Saturday, Nov. 6, after an extended illness.
As Lucille, she was born the daughter of Frederick and Lena, nee Kliefoth, Funk, Feb. 16, 1898, at Luana, Iowa.
She was married to Hilmer Trappe, Sept. 8, 1919, at Elkader. They spent all of their married life in and around the area of Monona.
Mrs. Trappe was a member of the Monona United Methodist church.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, a daughter, Mabel, who died in infancy, two sisters, and two brothers.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Helen) Holly of Cedar Rapids; a son, Donald of Monona; two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Music at the services was provided by Mrs. Thomas James, soloist, Mrs. Ivon J. Schultz was the accompanist.
Pallbearers were: Elmer Klieforth, Leonard Pearson, Herbert Lenth, Vern Zieman, Harvey Paulson, and Erwin Lembke.
