Funeral services for Marie Ethel Timmerman, 50, were conducted July 14 at Garden City United Methodist Church, Monona, Rev. Gary Dobbins officiated and Melanie Nevermann was the organist.
Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Schultz's Funeral Home, Monona, was in charge of arrangements.
Marie Swenson Timmerman, the daughter of Lloyd S. and Cora Leppert Swenson, was born May 2, 1938 in Allamakee County. She died July 11 at Central Community Hospital, Elkader, after a long illness.
She received her education in the Ludlow and other area schools and graduated from Waukon High School in 1956.
March 19, 1959 she married Milo W. Timmerman at St. John's Lutheran Church, Waukon. They had six children. She worked for over 20 years in factories in the area and was working at Advance Transformer in Monona until her illness.
Preceding her in death were her parents, a daughter, Karen and a sister, Jeneil Swenson.
Surviving is her husband, Milo, and five children, Kevin, Ferryville, WI; Loren, El Paso, TX; Kristi, Nevada, IA; Julie, Ellsworth Air Force Base, Box Elder, SD and Kari at home; two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Schlitter, Allison; Lulu Patterson, San Diego, CA; two brothers, Art Swenson, Chatfield, MN and Hubert Swenson, Houston, TX.
Pallbearers were Leland, Richard, James, and Douglas Moose, Dean Schlitter, Don Swenson and Mark Berry.
Honorary pallbearers were Ronald Patterson, Jeffrey Swenson, Terry Tilleraas, James Swenson and Dale Schlitter.
