Edna Mae Every, 93 Long-time resident of the rural Garber vicinity, passed away January 7, 1980 at the Edgewood Convalescent Home where she had lived for three months.
The daughter of Willis and Jennie (Stover) Every, she was born Aug. 26, 1886 at Garber, Iowa. She graduated from the Guttenberg High School in 1904 and taught school in the Garber and Osterdock vicinities.
She was married to Dean S. Mallory October 18, 1911 at New Hampton, Ia.
She was affiliated with the Methodist Church and would have been a 65 year member of the Order of Eastern Star in April.
She is survived by a son, Clark (Bob) Mallory, Garber, Iowa; one sister Mrs. Ada Chase, Greeley Iowa; two grandchildren, Bruce Mallory, Marion, Iowa and Mrs. James (Judith) Holthaus, Solon, Iowa; and seven great grandchildren.Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband Dean in 1977; two sisters, Cora Knee and Bertha Fowler; and one brother Phillip Every.
Services were held at Appleton-Vernon Funeral Home in Edgewood January 10, 1980 by Rev. John Baker. Burial: Brown Cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Glen Anderegg, Urey Anderegg, Ed Birkholz, Harley Hansel, Harlan Meyer, Arthur Palmer, Russell Schenke, Sam Stewart.
