DIED - October 27, 1898, Mrs. Sarah D. (sic E.) Burrows, wife of Geo. A. Burrows, of North McGregor. Deceased was born June 9th, 1846, in Greenwood, Crawford Co., Penn. In 1851 she was married to Wm. Bailey who died in 1871. In 1872 she was married to Mr. Burrows and moved to Iowa in 1876. She leaves three children and a husband bereft. Deceased was a great sufferer for seven years. She was a member of the Presbyterian church.

The family wish to express their thanks to the friends who so kindly remembered them in the sickness and death of the wife and mother.

Funeral services were held at her late home, on Oct. 28, 1896. Rev. S. R. Ferguson preaching the funeral sermon.

[NOTE: there are errors in this obit as the dates do not add up. Sarah's 1st husband, Wm. F. Bailey was killed by a locomotive near Suttons Corners, Crawford Co., PA 14 Oct 1871. Sarah was the mother of O.H. and Sam C. Bailey /H/]
