Elkader Register, April 6, 1883

-----On the 30th ult., at his home near Clayton Center, occurred the death of Fritz Hoth, of lung fever, at the age of 31 years, 4 months and 15 days. He leaves a wife and one child to mourn his lose. The funeral occurred on the 1st inst., and was largerly attended, Rev. F.W. Siefert officiating. Sermon from 1 Corinthians 15:51.

P.S. As much as I know his wife was Martha Meyer and his daughter was Anna Elise Caroline Hoth.
