Clark A. (Bob) Mallory, age 70, of rural Garber, Ia. passed away at the Delaware County Memorial Hospital in Manchester on Sunday morning April 10, 1983.
He was born on August 27, 1912 at the Mallory family farm home in Mallory Township to Dean S. and Edna (Every) Mallory. On Oct. 22, 1935 he was united in marriage to Elsie A. Hansel at Galena, Ill. He farmed North of Colesburg on the Mallory farm all of his life.
He was a member of the Constellation Lodge No. 67 A.F. & A.M. of Colesburg for more than 40 years, the Clayton County Historical Society, the Northeast Iowa Farm Antique Assoc. He graduated from the Colesburg High School in 1931, and was a bus driver for the Ed-Co School district for 10 years. His hobbies were Geneology and Antiques.
Surviving are his wife Elsie, one son Bruce J. Mallory of Alburnett, one daughter Mrs. James (Judith) Holthaus of R. R. 4 Solon, Ia, and 7 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his father Dean in 1977, and his mother Edna in 1980.
Funeral and Masonic Services were held on Tuesday, April 12, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. at the Appleton-Vernon Funeral home in Edgewood with Rev. Baker and the Constellation Lodge No. 67 A.F. & A.M. officiating. Burial was in the Brown Cemetery near Colesburg, Ia.
Pallbearers were: Glenn Anderegg, James Bickford, Art Holthaus, Larry Holthaus, Harlan Meyer, Arthur Palmer.
