Clarksville—Frederick Wedeking, son of Louis and Christina (Cretzmeyer) Wedeking, born Aug. 12, 1862, at Guttenberg, died Sunday night at Mercy hospital, Waverly, where he had been patient since fall suffered Friday evening; came with parents when a child to Clarksville; farmed in Pleasant Valley community north of Clarksville; married Ernestina Barkhausen, Sept. 27, 1889; couple farmed north of Clarksville until 1915, when they moved to Clarksville; member of Evangelical and Reformed church and Independent Order of Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodge; leaves six children, Eldon and Herbert, Clarksville; Clarence, Waterloo; Mrs. L.A. Doyle, Osage; Mrs. George Weinberg, Mrs. H. A. Busching, both of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; half-brother, Alfred, Oceanside, Cal.; four half sisters, Mrs. Minnie Smith, Waterloo; Mrs. Anna Reichert, Minnesota; Mrs. Caroline Bush, Waverly; Mrs. Christina Bush, Nashua; Mrs. Rosetta Clausing, Oregon; funeral is tentatively set for Wednesday afternoon at 2 at Evangelical and Reformed Church with burial in Lynwood cemetery.
