Mrs. Minnie Sabbann

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Minnie Sabbann Wednesday, August 17, 1966, at 2 p.m. in the Peace United Church of Christ, Elkader, with the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. Burial was in the Wagner cemetery, Farmersberg.

Pallbearers were Harley Glawe, William Sadewasser, Gerald Nesteby, MaLloyd Mueller, Fred Eggimann and Ernie Seifert.

Minnie Kluth Sabbann, daughter of William and Mary Kluth, was born January 22, 1888, at Mitchell, S. Dakota, and died at the Central Community Hospital, Elkader, Monday, Aug. 15, 1966. She had been in ill health for the past year and had undergone major surgery within the past six months.

Mrs. Sabbann came to Clayton County in 1892 with her parents and the lived in the St. Olaf Community.

She was married to G.A. Sabbann February 22, 1911, at Farmersberg. They were the parents of two daughters, Mrs. Clyde Smith, and Mrs. Dolores Meyer, both of Elkader.

Mrs. Sabbann was preceded in death by her father and mother and her husband who died in 1951, and a granddaughter, Judith Louise Meyer; a sister, Mrs. John Hook.

She is survived by her two daughters and three grandchildren and two brothers, George Kluth, Elkader, and Joe Kluth, Cedar Rapids.
