Walter L. Flynn, 50, a former Washington policeman and FBI employe, died Friday at Bethany Beach, Del., while vacationing here. He suffered from leukemia.
Mr. Flynn joined the FBI in Washington in 1948. He became a member of the Metropolitan police force in 1957 and worked in the identification bureau until leaving the force in 1964.
Since then, he and his wife, Virginia B. Flynn, had divided their time between homes in Williamsburg, Va. and Edenton, N. C.
Mr. Flynn was born in Guttenberg, Iowa. He served in the Pacific with the U.S. Navy in World War II.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Colleen Ann Flynn, of the homes, and Kimberly Erin Stearns, of Edenton; two sons, Patrick Michael, of Arlington, and Terence Joseph, of Williamsburg; his mother, Elsie C. Flynn, and two sisters, Virginia Neuhaus and Lu Brown, all of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; two other sisters, Lilian Razen, of Lombard, III.; a brother, Robert, of Minneapolis, and one grandchild.
