"Mr. and Mrs. Will Oliver
At the home of Wm. Randall, in Monona, on April 1st, 1880, Miss Minnie Randall and William Oliver were united in marriage by Rev. Clarence Hager, pastor of the Methodist Church. They were attended by Miss Jessie Brought, sister-in-law of Rev. Hager, as bridesmaid and John Zimmerman as bestman. Those attending the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. John Haworth, Mertie, Edith and Edwina Haworth, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rollinson, Mr. and Mrs. James Reilly, Nellie and Willie Randall and Mamie Oliver.
Mr. Oliver has worked for the Milwaukee railroad practically all his life, serving as section foreman here for many years. They have eight children living : Clarence and William of Dubuque; Jessie (Mrs. Francis Campbell), Monona; Robert, Monona; Winnie (Mrs. Ralph Smith), Rockford, Ill.; Gladys (Mrs. W. F. Sautter), Froelich; Scella (Mrs. G. C. Balekos), and Chester, Monona. They have 18 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Mr. Oliver has one sister, Mrs. Frank Bothel, and Mrs. Oliver, one sister, Mrs. Frances Haworth, both living in Monona. "
