Miss Lois Dennler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Dennler of Elkader, became the bride of Raymond Loftsgard, son of Mrs. Ruth Loftsgard of Elgin, Tuesday, at the Peace Evangelical and Reformed church in Elkader. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. Maid of honor was the bride's sister, Miss Hilda Dennler. The groom was attended by his brother, Lloyd Loftsgard, of Elgin. Robert Dennler, brother of the bride, and Orvin Loftsgard, cousin of the groom, served as ushers. Betty Lou Landt, cousin of the bride, was flower girl, and Larry Halverson, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer. Miss Zita Marie Butikofer, cousin of the bride, was in charge of the guest book.
After the ceremony a reception for 300 guests was held in the church parlors, at which Eileen Schneider and Norma Halverson, sisters of the groom, served the cake, and Marlene Dennler and Zita Marie Butikofer poured. Virgil Dennler, brother of the bride and George Joch, friend of the couple, served the ice cream. Mrs. Dan Butikofer Jr., Joan Dennler, Sharon Loftsgard and Shirley Jean Mueller were in charge of the gifts.
After a short wedding trip to the south, the new couple will make their new home on a farm near Monona.
