Norway Lutheran church was the scene, Dec. 27, of the marriage of Miss Helen Rugland, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Rugland of St. Olaf, to Albert Bemer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Bemer of Palo. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated. Miss Ruth Benson, cousin of the bride, served as bridesmaid. Ushers were Bob Bemer and Carroll Rugland. Mrs. Laura Fulton, maternal grandmother of the groom, and Mrs. Bess Bemer, paternal grandmother of the groom, were present at the ceremony.

A reception was held in the church parlors, at which Miss Orietta Benson poured, and Miss Elizabeth Rugland and Miss Janet Benson cut and served the cake. Mrs. Walter Rugland served the ice cream. Miss Myra Bemer, sister of the groom, had charge of the guest book. Assisting with the serving and gifts were Sharon and Shirley Bemer.

Mrs. Bemer is a graduate of Monona high school and attended Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She is at present teaching in the public schools of Osage. Mr. Bemer is a graduate of Palo high school and is a senior at Iowa State Teachers college.
