Glawe - Scherf marriage - 1953

Miss Wilma Scherf, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Scherf of Elkader, became the bride of Bernelle Glawe, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Glawe of St. Olaf, Dec. 14, in St. Paul's Lutheran church in Garnavillo. Pastor L. C. Urlaub officiated. Mrs. Verdean Glawe, cousin of the bride, served as matron of honor. Mrs. Dwayne Mueller, sister of the bride, and Miss Bonnie Glawe, sister of the groom, served as bridesmaids. Verdean Glawe, brother of the groom served as best man. Dwayne Mueller, brother-in-law of the bride, and John Scherf, brother of the bride, served as groomsmen. Arthur Scherf, brother of the bride, and Edward Coobs, nephew of the groom, served as Ushers.

At the reception in the church basement, Shirley Coobs, niece of the groom, took care of the guest book, and Mrs. Roland Tuecke, cousin of the bride, cut the cake.
