Hjelmeng - Larson marriage -1948

HJELMENG, LARSON, MOCKLER

Saturday, in the Norway Lutheran church, Miss Lois Larson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry O. Larson, Elkader, became the bride of Marion Hjelmeng, son of Mrs. Elva Hjelmeng, West Union. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiated. The bride's only attendant was her sister, Mrs. F. A. Mockler, of Lake Geneva, Wis. T. A. Mockler of Lake Geneva, Wis., served as best man. Ushers were Lorimer Larson, Chicago, and Don Houg, St. Olaf.

Mrs. Hjelmeng is a graduate of the Elkader high school and Elkader Junior college. For the past year she has been employed at Schmidt's pharmacy at Elkader. Her husband is also a graduate of the Elkader high school and attended Elkader junior college.

The new couple will be at home at Independence where Mr. Hjelmeng is employed with the Northwestern Bell telephone company
