Miss Betty L. Costigan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John L. Costigan, Elkport, became the bride of Thomas Walch of Elkader, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Walch of Elkader, Saturday, in St. Michael's church at Garber. The Rev. Loras J. Holmberg officiated. Mrs. Fred Oberfell, McGregor, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. David Walch of Elkader served his brother as best man. Clark Costigan, a brother of the bride, from Elkader, was one of the ushers.
Mrs. Walch is a graduate of Clarke college, Dubuque, and has since been teaching economics in the schools at Elkport and Elgin. Her husband is a graduate of the Elkader high school and the University of Iowa. He is now associated with the firm of W. H. Walch and Sons, Ford agency here.
Following a month's trip in the south, the couple will be at home in the downstairs apartment of the Mrs. Mary Hoover home on the west side.
