Miss Selina Olson, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ole E. Olson of Postville, became the bride of Lorando M. Embretson, youngest son of Mrs. Mary Embretson, of Farmersburg, Saturday, April 03. The Rev. S. J. Strandjord, pastor of the Marion Lutheran church, Gunder, officiated. Mrs. Harry Olson, sister-in-law of the bride, of Green Bay, Wis., was matron of honor, and Mrs. Milton Olson, also a sister-in-law of the bride, of Postville, acted as bridesmaid. The groom was attended by his brother, Waldo Embretson, as best man, and Burton Thorson as groomsman. Ushers were Kenneth Olson and Randolph Reierson, cousins of the groom, and Telmer and Harry Olson, brothers of the bride. Virginia Landsgard, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl, and Jimmy Englehart, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.

After the ceremony a reception was held in the church parlors. Miss Delores Bergan and Mrs. Gunnar Landsgard cut and served the wedding cake. Mrs. Hilda Dunserud and Mrs. Rosina Anderson, aunt and cousin of the bride presided at the table. Waitresses were Jeanette Loftsgard, Bernita Landsgard, Marlene Embretson, Lavanda Bergan and Glenda Landsgard.

The bride is a graduate of the Postville high school and attended Elkader Junior college and Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls. She has taught in rural schools near her home and at the Consolidated school in Fayette. The groom is a graduate of Elkader high school and junior college. Since his graduation he has been farming the home place near Farmersburg, where the new couple will reside.
