The marriage of Miss Mary Eileen Robinson, daughter of Mrs. Lera Robinson, and Francis J. Cox, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cox, took place Monday, Aug. 28, at the Sacred Heart church. The pastor, Rev. Robert J. Spahn, officiated. The groom's brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Newton of Elkader, were the attendants. Ushers were John J. Cox, Waterloo, the groom's brother, and Thomas Robinson, Volga, the bride's brother.
After the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride's uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Robinson. The new couple will reside at Volga, where both are employed as clerks at Crandall's Cash Market. Both Mr. and Mrs. Cox are Volga high school graduates.
