Gottschalk - Baars marriage - 1945

Miss Carrie A. Baars, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Baars, of Elkader and Arnold C. Gottschalk, son of John Gottschalk of Elkport, were married at the Friedens Evangelical and Reformed church here Monday, Feb. 12. The Rev. Paul Kitterer officiated. The attendants were Mrs. Ruth Clinton of Littleport, niece of the bride, and Willis Gottschalk of Elkport, brother of the groom.

Mrs. Gottschalk was employed for several years as clerk in the Hagen grocery store here and for the past year has been employed at the Elkader Dry Cleaners. The groom has operated a garage at Communia for the past seventeen years. He is also employed as part-time mechanic in the Hochhaus Bros. Implement shop here. The new home will be made in Elkader.
