Thurn - Chevalier marriage - 1943

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Mildred Elgene Chevalier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Chevalier, and Lawrence Thurn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Thurn of Edgewood, were married Sunday at Emmanuel Lutheran church. The Rev. Lawrence Stumme officiated. The groom's attendants were his brother, Otley Thurn, and Robert Keltner, both of Edgewood. Darlene Chevalier was flower girl and Clark Thurn was ring bearer. Lavern and Darrell Chevalier were ushers.

Mrs. Thurn graduated from the local high school in 1940, attended S.U.I. and has taught in the rural schools the past two and one-half years. Mr. Thurn graduated from the Edgewood high school in 1940 and has been farming since.

The new couple will live on a farm north of Edgewood.
