Ruppert - Blanchard marriage - 1943

STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Betty Lou Blanchard, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Blanchard of Strawberry Point, and Herman C. Ruppert of Milford, Conn., son of Mrs. Katherine Ruppert of Iowa City, were married Friday at the Methodist church, Rev. R. Park Anderson officiating. Two brothers of the groom, Robert and Ralph Ruppert of Iowa City, were the ushers.

Mrs. Ruppert graduated from the local high school in 1939, attended Cornell college and the State University of Iowa. Mr. Ruppert graduated from the University high school, Iowa City in 1938, and from the College of Engineering of S.U.I. receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in 1942 and since has been employed at R____ngton DuPont, Bridgeport, Conn.

The new couple will be at home at 756 Avenue, Laurel Beach, Milford, Conn., after Sept. 10.
