Meehan - Berns marriage - 1943

GARBER: At a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev, H. N. Ginter, Evelyn C. Berns, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Berns of Garber, became the bride of Donald J. Meehan of Garnavillo, June 08, at St. Michael's church at Garber. They were attended by Avis Berns, sister of the bride, and Eugene Meehan, brother of the groom.

The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school and attended the junior college at Elkader. She has been teaching rural school in Clayton county. Mr. Meehan attended St. Joseph's high school at Garnavillo and since has been engaged in farming. After a short honeymoon they will be at home on a farm near Garnavillo.
