Houg - Torkelson marriage - 1943

Opa_ Torkelson and Millard Houg, both of Farmersburg, were married Wednesday, June 09, at the Norway Lutheran church, the Rev. S. J. Strandjord officiating. The attendants were Miss Ruby Gunderson, friend of the couple, and Quentin Torkelson, brother of the bride. The processional and recessional were played by Miss Iva Nelle Torkelson, younger sister of the bride.

The bride has been a teacher in the Clayton county rural schools the past several years, and the groom is engaged in farming on the Mrs. Julia Houg farm, where the new home will be made.
