Schroeder - Troester marriage - 1947

SCHROEDER, TROESTER, HAMANN, THOMA

St. Peter's American Lutheran church of Garnavillo, Iowa, was the scene of a wedding held Wednesday, January 29, 1947, which united in holy wedlock Miss Florence Louise Troester, daughter of Louie C. Troester, of St. Olaf, to Stanley H. Schroeder, youngest son of Mrs. Anna Schroeder, Guttenberg. Before the ceremony Mrs. Landgrebe and Mrs. Herman Hamann, aunt of the groom, sang a duet of a couple songs. The Rev. K. Landgrebe, pastor, officiated, and Miss Ilo Troester, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, while the groom was attended by his cousin, Keith Thoma. Ushers were Orville Troester, a brother of the bride, and Harold Schroeder, cousin of the groom. The new couple will make their home on the groom's farm near Guttenberg.
