GARBER: At a ceremony performed by Rev. J. J. Olinger, Marguerite Schindhelm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schindhelm of McGregor, became the bride of James F. Berns, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Berns of Garber, Sept. 29th, at St. Michael's church of Garber. The attendants were Marie Berns, twin sister of the groom, and Robert Schindhelm, brother of the bride. The bride is a graduate of McGregor high school and attended U.I.U. at Fayette and has been teaching in rural schools of Allamakee and Clayton counties. The groom is a graduate of Elkport high school and has since been engaged in farming. The new couple will make their home on the Otto Berns farm near Garber.
