Jaster - Clark marriage - 1940

Miss Mae Clark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Clark of this vicinity, became the bride of Lawrence Jaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Jaster of Elkport, Saturday, June 01. The wedding occurred at the Frieden's Evangelical church in Elkader, the Rev. Paul Kitterer officiating. The couple were attended by Miss Dorothy Jaster, sister of the groom, and Kenneth Walters, a friend of the couple.

The bride is a graduate of the Elkader High School and the Elkader Junior college, and for the past few years has been a teacher in the rural schools of the county. The groom is a graduate of the Elkport High School and has also attended Iowa State College. He was associated with his father in business at Elkport but later has been employed at Gilbertville where the future home will be made.
