Hurley - Sybert marriage - 1939

Miss Alice Seybert, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Seybert of this place, became the bride of Joseph Hurley, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Hurley, at St. Joseph's church, this morning. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. J. P. Taken officiated. The attendants were, Miss Betty Seybert, sister of the bride, and Wm. Roethler, cousin of the groom. Alter boys were Robert Seybert, brother of the bride, and James Stence.

Mr. and Mrs. Hurley are both graduates of St. Joseph's school in Elkader. For the past five years, Mrs. Hurley has been employed in the N.W. Bell Telephone office here. Mr. Hurley operates a farm near Volga. They will be at home on a farm north of Volga.
