St. Michael's church at Garber was the scene of the wedding of Eileen Vorwald, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Vorwald, to Malcom Deutsch, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Deutsch of Chicago, Tuesday, Sept. 26. Rev. Olinger, pastor, officiated. Several songs were sung by Miss Alice Seybert, accompanied by Mrs. Haldane Vorwald. John Miller and Loren Frommelt, cousins of the bride, acted as Mass servers. The ushers were Cyril Vorwald and William McTaggart. Kathryn Vorwald, sister of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, while Edwin Deutsch, brother of the groom, served as best man. The wedding breakfast was served by Mrs. Menlo Voss, sister of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school and Elkader junior college. For the past four years she has taught in the rural schools of Delaware and Clayton counties.
Mr. Deutsch is a graduate of Parker high school in Chicago, and for the past ten years has been employed in the offices of Swift and Co. as a bookkeeper and accountant.
After an extensive trip through the east they will be at home, after Oct. 10th, at 347 E. 76th St., Chicago.
