STRAWBERRY POINT: Miss Deleva Fredrick, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Fredrick, and Ernest Opperman, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Opperman, both of Strawberry Point, were married Tuesday evening at the Emanuel's Lutheran church, the Rev. Max O. Jahr officiating. Donna Mae Fredrick, sister of the bride, and Mrs. Otto Gipper of Oelwein, sister of the groom sang "Prayer Perfect." Attendants were Miss Julia Fredrick, sister of the bride, and Edgar Jahr. Ushers were James Hughes, nephew of the groom, and Sigmund Sandrock, both of Waverly. The bride graduated from the Strawberry Point high school in 1935, and the last four years has been a rural teacher. The groom graduated the local public school in 1934. He attended Luther college at Decorah one year, and graduated from Wartburg college at Waverly in 1937. He also attended summer school at Boulder, Colo. The home will be made at Popejoy, where the groom will commence his second year as athletic coach.
