Bethel - Wirkler marriage - 1938

BETHEL, WIRKLER

MONONA: Miss Margaret Wirkler, only daughter of Mrs. Rocelia Wirkler, and Wilbur Bethel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Bethel, of Sumner, Iowa, were married Tuesday afternoon by the Rev. H. W. Siefkes, in the local Lutheran church. Mrs. Reuben Wirkler and Miss Janice Wiethorn sang several selections. The attendants were Margaret Clark of Ames, Iowa, and Ken McGuiness of Sumner.

Both Margaret and her husband are graduates of Iowa State college. Since her graduation she has held the position of supervisor of the food department of Memorial Union at Ames. The new home will be made at Schenectady, N.Y., where the groom is connected with the General Electric company.
