VOLGA: A very pretty wedding was solemnized Tuesday in St. Mary's church, Strawberry Point, when Miss Myrtle A. Conboy, Volga, became the bride of Norbert Niemeyer, Elkader, the ceremony performed by Monsignor G. Haxmeier of Lansing, uncle of the groom, Rev. P. J. Boyle, pastor of St. Mary's assisted in the nuptial mass. The attendants were Miss Kathleen Conboy, sister of the bride, and Leo Niemeyer, brother of the groom. The bride is the oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Conboy and a graduate of the Volga high school, class of 1933, and since that time has been employed by the Iowa Tel. and Telg. Company in the local exchange. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Niemeyer and is associated with his brother in a general store in Elkader. The new home will be an apartment over the store.
