Farrell - Stone marriage - 1937

Volga City: At Sacred Heart church here Monday, Aug. 23rd, occurred the wedding of Miss Lydia Stone, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Stone, Reinbeck, and John Farrell, Charles City, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Farrell of this city. Rev. D. P. Cregan officiated. The attendants were Miss Mae Farrell, sister of the groom, and Michael Lynch of Charles City. The bride graduated from the New Hampton high school, class of 1931. The groom graduated from high school at Mitchell, S.D., in 1930. The new couple motored to Reinbeck where a wedding dinner was served by the brides sister, Mrs. Chris Stephens. The new home will be made at Charles City, where the groom has employment. Out of town relatives present at the wedding were: Miss Julia Farrell, Elkader; Mr. and Mrs. W. Ecker, West Union; Mrs. Azile Lorby and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Stephens of Reinbeck.
