MARRIED - At Hudson, N.Y., on the 19th inst., by the Rev. D.D. Dumarest, John V.D. Benton, of McGregor, to Miss Sarah J. Backman, eldest daughter of Samuel Bachman, Esq., of Hudson.

This happy pair of 'Knickerbockers' arrived at McGregor, in safety, on Saturday evening last, and were cordially welcomed by a town-full of delighted friends. With that high regard which John entertains for the press, he made the 'Times' office the recipient of a valued present - we beg to reciprocate the hope impliedly tendered us in the character of the favor referred to, by wishing out young friends only sham pain through the journey of life.

To the young bride who has left a home on the banks of the romantic Hudson, to gladden the hearth of one of our most valuable citizens, we tender the compliments of this office. Both parties have our heart-felt congratulations.
