MARRIED, at Garnavillo, on Thursday eve, Oct. 21st, by the Rev. L.P. Mathews, Mr. Norman Platt of Yankee Settlement, to Miss Catherine E. Ames of Garnavillo.

"By vows of love together bound,
The twain on earth, are one'
One may their hearts, be ever found
Till earthly cares are done."

Our friends are now fairly embarked on the voyage of life and have our best wishes for their prosperity, happiness and many days. L.P.M.
